Danville is located in California. Among the five cities in the Three Valleys of the East Bay, it is a rural town with the most extended history and beautiful scenery. It is located next to Highway 680 in Contra Costa County in the northeast of the Bay Area and is known as the heart of the San Ramon Valley. Its history can be traced back to 1860 when the Mexicans began to develop mines and farms. The municipal government was established in 1982. The 2020 census has a population of 43,582, the average annual household income is US$180,000, and the average house price is US$1.45 million. It is the highest among the cities in the Tri-Valley area.

The city has always been known in Northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area for its small-town American style, beautiful scenery, noble communities, and the best schools. Residents and tourists can enjoy shopping in the elegantly decorated and tree-lined downtown with a history of 130 years and enjoy fine wine and food with family in award-winning restaurants with different atmospheres. Alternatively, explore the Iron Horse Trail's fully paved, mostly shaded path, perfect for taking a stroll or biking around town. The famous Mt Diablo State Park is 5 miles from the city. When you strive to climb to the top of its 3,500-foot camping mountain, you will be intoxicated by the stunning scenery of the San Francisco Bay Area.

There are other worthwhile visits for you and your friends, such as the Blackhawk Museum of American Antique Cars. It originated from the annual vintage car exhibition held by the local car enthusiast club and was established in 1988 with private donations. The museum houses nearly 100 rare and precious antique cars, collected from individuals worldwide between 1903 and 1969. The Museum of San Ramon Valley commemorates Danville’s heritage as a railway depot, featuring a life-size train car that invites visitors to explore and take photos.

The Danville municipal government and the school management department have paid special attention to education investment and talent cultivation for many years. It is one of the cities with the highest comprehensive school scores in the Greater Bay Area. Among the 7 primary schools, 5 are 10 points, 2 are 9 points, 3 middle schools are 9--10 points, and two high schools, Monte Vista High School and San Ramon Valley High School, have been rated as full-score high schools by Greatschools, and has scored 10 points in each sub-score. At the same time, Danville was ranked as the safest city in California by Safewise, which is one of the important reasons why many parents prefer Danville.

Excellent schools, a low crime rate, a high homeownership rate of single-family homes, and educationally valued neighbors are all the ingredients that make Danville an ideal place to live for families.
