San Ramon is a stunning city located in the north of the East Bay and shares borders with Dublin, Pleasanton, and Danville. It is a city that is lush and beautiful all year round and is known for its exquisite mansions. San Ramon is a star city in the Tri-Valley area and has one of the best school districts in the United States. The BART system provides direct access to San Francisco, Oakland, and Fremont.

 

San Ramon has two zip codes, 94582 and 94583. 94582 is east of Highway 680 and includes Dougherty Valley, which most buyers favor due to its excellent schools and newer homes. Dougherty Valley is divided into Windemere and Gale Ranch communities. Windemere was a joint master plan by Contra Costa County, Shapell Industries, and Windemere Partner LLC. Windemere is known for its excellent greenery, spacious roads, and newer public electrical system. The city government has advocated for the concept of "every household can walk to the park," and there are over 50 parks in the city. Gale Ranch is made up of over a dozen small communities, and the beautiful Bridge community has over 300 luxurious villas of various architectural styles. Gale Ranch is adjacent to the Bridge Golf Club and sits on the golf course with unlimited views. Toll Brothers, a famous luxury house builder, acquired Gale Ranch in 2013 for $1.6 billion and built nearly 1,500 new homes. All projects are currently sold out. If you want to see what the original San Ramon looked like, you should visit the Pine Valley area, where many one-story ranch-style detached houses were built in the 1960s, with over 6,000 square feet of lot size.

 

San Ramon's public schools are part of the San Ramon Valley School District, and its elementary and middle schools are top-notch schools with a score of 9 or higher. The schools in 94582 have a perfect score of 10 on GreatSchools rating. There are two high schools here, i.e., California High School and Dougherty Valley High School. Dougherty Valley High School is the most advanced, complete, and expensive public high school in the United States. It ranks fourth among public high schools in the Bay Area of US News and is rated as a 10-point high school on GreatSchools. DVHS is also a STEM high school, ranking 49th among all STEM high schools. In addition, 79% of the school's students take AP exams, with 75% passing at least one AP exam. California High School was also a national "Blue Ribbon High School" in 2006-2007, with its academic and sports strengths.

 

San Ramon boasts excellent law and order. In September 2018, WalletHub, a national consumer and personal financial organization, listed San Ramon as "the best to raise a family" and the second best place for families looking to put down roots in California. San Ramon has a diverse population. According to the 2020 National Census, whites account for 38.9%, Asians 47.8%, Hispanics 7.9%, Multiracial 7.5%, blacks 3.2%, and others. Regarding per capita income, San Ramon ranks first among cities in which more than half of households earn a six-figure income, with a median household income of $173,519, making it an ideal location for high-income and high-quality residents.

 

Dining and shopping are also very convenient in San Ramon. The Lot in the City Center Bishop Ranch, built by the famous architect Renzo Piano, has a ten-hall movie theater and stores such as Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, West Elm, Nike, etc., delicious restaurants, Whole Food, Trader Joe's, Target are nearby, there are two 99 Ranch supermarkets, two Costco nearby, many supermarkets are within 5 to 15 minutes driving distance. San Francisco Premium Outlets and many famous Chinese restaurants are not far away.
