Livermore is located in Northern California, USA, and is one of the five noble cities of Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore, San Ramon, and Danville in the Three Valleys of the East Bay. Founded in 1876, Livermore is one of the oldest rural cities in California. The city's southern side is known for its extensive scented vineyards and dozens of wine estates with a rich history.

 

According to the 2020 census, the population of Livermore is close to 100,000, with 63% of residents identifying as white, 10% Asian and Chinese, and 27% as other ethnic groups. The city is home to the famous Lawrence U.S. Defense High-Tech Laboratory, after which the chemical element livermorium is named, and Las Positas College, a renowned modern community college. There are also private universities, adult education schools, three public high schools, four junior high schools, and nine elementary schools, with an average score of around 7-8-9, above the middle level.

 

Livermore is located in the easternmost part of the San Francisco Greater Bay Area and is divided into two urban areas, the north, and the south, by the 580 highway, the east-west artery of the Bay Area. About 15-20 miles to the east is Tracy & Mountain House, a new leisure resort located in the famous mid-valley area on the periphery of the East Bay. Living in the city, it takes about 30-40 miles to the west to reach Oakland and San Francisco and about 30-40 miles to the south to reach the world-famous Silicon Valley high-tech center and business and urban areas. The city is conveniently located and is about an hour's drive from the three major international airports in the Bay Area, namely SFO, SFC, and OAK, all within 30-50 miles. Many amenities include the newly-built SF Premium Outlet and the Pacific Plaza.

 

Real estate prices in the Greater Bay Area have continued to rise since 2021 and are now in a high consolidation stage. The average house price in Livermore is between US$650,000 and US$800,000 for a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment or detached house above 1,000 square feet. Despite the rising real estate market and costs in the Greater Bay Area of San Francisco, Livermore in the Three Valleys of the East Bay is still a beautiful, safe, affordable, and livable city.
